Home 9 Medicare Part D Enrollment Periods

Part D Enrollment Periods

Just like with Medicare Advantage plans, if you want to enroll in a Part D plan, you must have an enrollment period.

Popular Enrollment Periods

  • Initial Enrollment Period (New To Medicare)
  • Moved out of the coverage area of previous plan
  • Low Income Subsidy
  • Annual Election Period (Oct 15 – Dec 7)

The main difference with Part D enrollment periods compared to Medicare Advantage is that you CANNOT use the Open Enrollment Period (OEP) window from January 1 to March 31 to make a change to your Part D drug coverage.
