Frequently Asked Questions

We speak with thousands of Medicare beneficiaries each year. Here are some of questions that we see frequently.

Q: Will I be penalized if I don't sign up for Part B or Part D?

A: Yes, but only if you don’t have other creditable coverage. See our page on Avoiding Penalties for more information.

Q: I'm going to keep working, do I have to take Part B?

A: No as long as your employer is willing to keep you on their coverage and that coverage is deemed creditable, you can delay taking your Medicare Part B. Many people realize that they can get better coverage for less money by taking their Medicare Part B even if they continue to work. There are many factors that go into this decision, so reach out to us so we can do a cost-benefit analysis for you.

Q: Does Medicare cover Dental or Vision?

Answer: Yes but only a little bit. For those who want traditional dental or vision coverage like you have been used to on an employer group health plan, you’ll have to get a separate policy. Check out our page on Dental & Vision for more information on what is available. These plans are extremely popular.
